I have done the video every day since I got it. I love it! It helps me sleep at night…not to mention saves me money on prenatal yoga classes. It is classy, hip, modern, visually stunning and a fantastic workout. There is something for all trimesters of pregnancy and all yoga skill levels. 5 Stars First-time Mom and Yoga Lover
As a yoga enthusiast, I was looking for a prenatal program that was challenging, but was also tailored to meet the specific needs of my new body and baby. I am so happy to have this DVD as part of my regular prenatal exercise routine. I am also privileged to have taken Jess’s classes in person and I love how convenient it is to have her warmth and knowledge on hand for my home practice. There are all kinds of fun features, including breathing and delivery techniques. I highly recommend this for any mom-to-be.

5 Stars Not Just For Pregnant Women
The beautifully produced DVD provides pregnant women a way to continue to practice yoga as their bodies change to accommodate the new life within them. The set is aesthetically pleasing, the voice over is instructional and soothing, and the props used make the postures safe for both mother and child. An unexpected advantage to this product is that, having shown it to my mom, she now practices yoga! The use of props serves to modify the postures in a way that makes seniors able to practice yoga with comfort and ease so that they too, can experience the benefits of a yoga practice.

An inspired product.

5 Stars Well-done adaptation of a yoga favorite!
I have been searching high and low for something like this! I wanted a program that was:

1. Geared for pregnancy

2. Based on the sun salutation

3. Not too long

4. Had pleasant production values

This one fits the bill. The video is done entirely by a woman who looks to be in her 7-8th month of pregnancy. She does not speak, but the voice-over is done by the lady who also does the introduction to the program at the beginning of the DVD. Her voice is neutral and pleasant, without being monotone or boring. The set is attractive, decorated in a warm cranberry color that matches the exerciser’s leotard. The music is unobtrusive and pleasant as well.

I’m 42, pregnant with my 6th child and I very much appreciate the modifications in this DVD. Even with the modifications though, I feel a lot of energy and release of tension using this routine. I viewed the 20 minute “teaching” routine first. It could certainly be used daily if you wanted a longer salute with more repetitions, but I really like the 10-minute “flowing” version. It’s just long enough to give me a lift first thing in the morning, but not so long that I am tempted to skip it because I do not have time or am not feeling the best. There is also a 5 minute version of the routine, but I have not done that one because I really am enjoying the 10 minute version so much.

With this pregnancy, I find myself having to take my exercise in smaller chunks and this is a great first step each day. Perhaps if a woman was younger and a more experienced with this type of exercise, she might not find it challenging enough, but I’m not sure.

Incidentally, the instruction on this DVD does not use any Sanskrit words or any very mystical verbage that makes some of us uncomfortable, if we are not of that spiritual persuasion. I really appreciate that. They have a motto on the video at the beginning, something like “movement for everyone” and it really seems like they have tried to do that. Highly recommended!

5 Stars Perfect, in more ways than one!
I bought the Prenatal Sun Salute DVD for a friend, but decided to check it out before I wrapped the gift. After only a week of trying this wonderful program, my back and shoulders are more flexible! The “holding version” only lasts 10 minutes, and it is easy to find the time. A beautiful, soothing way to start the day! So yes, I highly recommend this DVD. If you are a grandmother-to-be, get an extra copy for yourself!
