User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Good exercises
I like the exercises on this video. The lady that leads them is a little weird, though. Sometimes it sounds like she isn’t sure what she’s talking about. I would have liked to have seen ahead of time that I would need certain equipment in order to participate in all the workouts, like a strength band, a medicine ball, what size weights, etc. Over all, though, it’s a really good work out.

5 Stars Rated as a Top prental DVD for a reason
I really enjoyed this DVD. Out of all of the prenatal DVDs I have used, this one demonstrated the most thorough understanding of the physiological needs and demands of a woman in all phases of pregnancy. The exercises are challenging enough, yet I really felt safe. My highest recommendation.

4 Stars Great!
This video is great. It encompasses exercises specifically for pregnant women, but also exercises to keep your body toned that are appropriate during pregnancy.

5 Stars Highly recommended
I really enjoy this DVD. I’ve been doing Pilates for quite a few years now, and this DVD is refreshing. I’ve been waking up sore lately and these

exercises have been making me feel better. The stretching and exercises are so relaxing, yet you still feel like you’re working out. My legs are actually firm and fit. This DVD really helps me relax myself and my muscles. I look forward to doing this every time.

4 Stars Great Beginner Workout
I am really glad that I ordered this dvd. I have never done any pilates before this. I was very pleased with the way she was really clear in her instructions. It’s easy to understand and follow. I wasn’t very active before my pregnancy, due to a surgery, but I can keep up with it and I truly do have more energy afterwards. I recommend this product, especially to anyone who has never done pilates before…you’ll enjoy it.

4 Stars Great moves to Combat Pregnancy Pains
I bought two pregancy videos—this one and The Perfect Pregnancy Workout. Perfect Pregancy is my main stay because I feel like it really works me out. This one is much more low key and easier to do, and I do this video about once or twice a week. I like it because I feel like it has good moves to help my back and hips to not hurt. Negatives are that it’s not difficult enough for it to be my everyday workout. It has modifications for your third trimester. I’ve never done Pilates before, but I found it pretty easy to pick up. You need a small ball, a dowel (which I took apart my broom and used the stick portion), and 2-3 pound weights. Good video but better as a secondary workout.

2 Stars Let’s just say I won’t be doing it again.
This DVD is not awful, but I certainly won’t be doing it again. I agree with the other reviewers that it was boring, and not a great workout. I hardly even feel stretched out, much less worked out. The arm sequence was probably my favorite, but even that was both boring and too short.

Finally, she asks those of us in our third trimester to watch “Cassie and I” (not the real name). No - it’s Cassie and ME. The bad grammar was actually really distracting. Maybe it’s just because I’m hormonal, but it drove me nuts.

User Ratings and Reviews

2 Stars Boring
Sorry to say both Gabi and her trainer need a little more personality. It’s not only a slow workout, but they are boring. I’ve tried 3 of the 6 workouts and haven’t been impressed.

4 Stars great workout
great workout for the preggers out there just one thing I wish they would mention what kinds of exercise equipment that you need before you start, such as stability ball, weights, bands and chair.

5 Stars Awesome workout
Before my pregnancy, I was already doing core exercises, therefore had all the equipment needed. So it was an easy transition, since I was already doing similar exercises. I like how the workouts are only 15 minutes and move from one exercise to the next. I’ve also found that during the day I can easily do some of the stretches learned.

I feel great afterwards and get a great stretch. Since my husband is a physical therapist, he is always telling me how good posture prevents back pain. These exercises definitely help you focus on your posture and strengthen the muscles that support your back.

4 Stars Different workout
The video has shot workouts which I like. The videos are informative and give a good workout.

3 Stars Not as vigorous as I expected
I was disappointed with this video. The workouts are too short and it doesn’t seem like the trainer does enough reps. I’ve got all the equipment needed, but the pace at which we’re expected to switch gears is annoying. Gabrielle Reese has her trainer handing her the weights, band and ball but those of us doing it at home aren’t so lucky. I feel like I spend half the workout keeping track of my equipment. That said, I do think it has stregthened my back and abs and Reese is pleasant enough on camera. I wouldn’t buy it again though.

5 Stars Workout feels GREAT in third trimester
I love this DVD. She does some really nice fluid stretches that are relaxing AND strengthening/limbering at the same time. For me, it’s exactly the kind of exercise I was looking for for my current stage of pregnancy (3rd trimester). I have been feeling achy and tired, so I love how my body feels happy/calm during and after this workout. I also find her really sweet and personable and a pleasure to exercise with. I actually laughed with her a few times like she was in the room with me. (My husband found it amusing.)

4 Stars good workout
I really liked this workout. It was good stretching mixed with some pretty hard moves. It really loosened up some leg cramps I have been having. But it’s not just lying around stretching, it really makes you work your muscles! I liked how she explained the moves and wasn’t annoyingly peppy. Over all I liked it and plan to use it until the end of my pregnancy.

5 Stars Great
This is a great workout. It really relaxes u too. I should do it more often too…

I was really achy after the first workout since I haven’t worked out in the 6 months prior to starting…. My thigh were sore with the squatting. This is not meant as a critique at all but more as a good thing meaning that it obviously works to tone your muscles.

I LOVE IT!

5 Stars Great for those with Back/Sciatica Problems
I bought this DVD in my second trimester. It is no impact exercising. I suffer from lower back, sciatica and knee problems. Even walking aggravates my back while pregnant. This is the only workout I can do while pregnant. I do it six days a week and find it provides great relief for my sciatica, aching lower back and hips. Finally….I’m regaining my muscle tone with the help of this DVD.

5 Stars Fun and comfortable
I liked this video because it isn’t overly strenuous, yet it keeps me in shape. I struggled with using the arm weights, but I have weak arms, so it isn’t probably hard for someone who uses weights more frequently. I have a baby girl that I carry, yet still struggled with the arm weights!! But this video is fun and easy to do, and I really enjoy listening to Tracey while I exercise with her. Hopefully my arms will be more tone before I even have this baby!!

5 Stars Love Her Tone
As a pre-natal instructor, I really enjoyed this video not only for it’s overall content and ease of use, but I really enjoyed Valerie’s tone. She is very real and motivating which I find refreshing.

3 Stars OK workout tape
This video is ok. It drags a bit between circuits and is not the challenge I thought it would be. If you’re used to working out and doing aerobic type of exercise, it’s not for you.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars A Fun and Versatile Prenatal Workout
I really enjoy doing this workout. The separate 20 minute yoga section makes a great cooldown. I also do the yoga on the days when my muscles are recovering from a more intense workout. This video is fun and while it is not too strenuous, I feel like I have gotten a good workout.

4 Stars A Good Choice
I am currently in my second trimester and have been using this video workout for two months. There are two different workouts and a yoga session. The first work out is about 25 minutes long and I have not yet tried the second as the first is challenging enough to keep me doing it. You will need two sets of dumbbells. Lindsay has three on the video but only uses two, 3 lb. and 8 lb. I have been using 3 lb. and 5 lb. There are plenty of exercises for back and arms as well a variety of squats and movements for the legs. The workout has kept me in shape and, I believe, prepared my back to support the extra weight I have been gaining. The yoga is a nice cool down or good stretch and tension reliever, but as a novice to yoga I find some of the breathing only parts a tad boring. I recommend the yoga mat. One is used in the video and with out it my feet tend to slide on a couple of the poses.

There are a couple of negatives about this video. Lindsay is not pregnant and watching her smiling and bouncing while you sweat can be annoying. Occasionally a picture in picture box appears with a woman early in her second trimester doing the workout, but the box is small and pixels out on a large HD TV. The instruction is usually clear and concise. However, at one point Lindsay intructs us to throw in a pelvic tilt without any explanation. I have yet to figure out what she is doing, if anything, as it is not visible on the video. She also intructs us to do a Kegel now and then, but I knew what those were. The music is awful. Once I learned the rountine I simply killed the sound and played my own music which helped immensely with my energy level in getting through the whole workout.

Over all I would choose this video again. I feel like I get a good workout with out feeling like I am overly straining.
